Christmas!

'Tis that time of year again-the merry greetings from random people; the shopping; the lights; the comfort; the family; and, most important, the Savior! Our stockings are hanging by the wood stove which is lit by a warm, inviting fire, and our cat is batting at ornaments from under the tree. Everyone in my family is home. Joyful voices fill the air, and smiles are everywhere. Cold air engulfs you as you step outside to see all the different lights on the houses. "Jack frost nips at your nose." Everyone cuddles up to hear Dad read the Christmas story. What a wonderful time of year.

Blown away...

I am falling in love...with music. I especially enjoy A Fine Frenzy's song "Blow Away". The music seems to carry me to a different world-a world of music. It sings me a good morning when early light shines through my window-a wonderful accompaniment to my thoughts and questions of the day. When each chord hits it makes me happier, till I am floating away. All day long, I float in the music . In each step there is a bounce that flows with the beat. When the song ends I am on earth once again, but thinking back on music world I might as well be blown away.

Here are some pictures of the vacation I went on a few months ago. The whole family got to come! It was great to spend all that time with my siblings!

I awoke this morning with the sun shining brightly on my face. My baby pink walls sparkled in the light and I can't help thinking about how much God has blessed us! There are times when life falls apart but around the bend there is always a time of joy coming, even if it is not on this earth. It reminds me of a storm, terrible and cold, but afterwords the sun seems to shine more brilliantly, the sky has never seemed so clear, and the soft breeze seemed never to have smelled so good. "for His anger endureth but for a moment;in His favor is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning." Psalm 30:5
