Christmas

Today we got our Christmas tree! I cannot wait to put it up and start decorating! Christmas is one of my favorite times in the whole year. I love making presents for my family and friends and decorating the tree while listening to Christmas music. It is a very good time to get closer to the Lord. I like baking gingerbread cookies adn watching my cat fail at getting an ornament off the tree. haha. It is such a fun time of year. Merry Christmas!

Les Miserables and Awkward Moments

I was just in a production of Les Miserables at my local theatre. It was an AMAZING experience. I made so many friends and had so many funny/awkward moments ( as you usually do in theatre). One of the funny/awkward moments happened on the opening night of the show. It was before the show and the stage was all dark. You could hardly see anything. I went on the stage (as I usually like to do before shows) and I saw something sitting in the middle of the stage. "Oh it must be a basket" thought I. "Why is there a basket in the middle of the stage?" So I decided to touch it just to be sure it was a basket. But, low and behold, when I touched it, it indeed was NOT a basket. In fact, it was the lead in our show. "Hello?" he said right as I touched him.
This was the first thought that came into my head: "Oh! the basket talked!" Then out loud I said, "Oh my goodness! I thought you were a basket!"
"Umm... ok," was his response.
Since it was dark I couldn't tell who it was. I thought it must be my friend Colin. So I patted him on the back and said, "This is Colin, right?"
"No," he answered. "It's Kevin."
I, being thoroughly mortified, immediately stopped patting him on the back and answered awkwardly, "Oh... umm... bye." and left before I could embarrass myself more.

Life

A lot of things happened this year. My favorite directors had to sell their theatre, My dear grandma died, and my cat died. It showed me you need to enjoy things while you have them. Life is short. I am almost 14. I know that may seem young to alot of you but to me its really old. NEXT YEAR I WILL BE TURNING 15!!!! That's 3 years until I'm an adult! This year is my golden birthday. I have been waiting for my golden birthday for so many years and now it's finaly here. All I'm sayin is that we should enjoy life and trust the Lord so that we will get to be with him. The Almighty God of the universe! That truly is good.

A story of a word

I have always made up words, usually when I'm trying to say one word and I get it wrong thinking it's right. It's just my thing. So recently I had been at a loss for words. I wanted something to say other than "oh darn"or "oh my goodness." Then the other day it came to me, a word that was so satisfying, so full. I knew it was the right word. The word, ladies and gentle men, is Bolvine. Not bovine, but Bolvine. (Pronounced Bullvine) Is it not so satisfying? haha. Yes, that is my story for now, a story of a word. :)

Tomorrow

"The sun will come out tomorrow. Bet your bottom dollor that tomorrow there'll be sun. Just thinkin' about tomorrow clears away the cobwebs and the sorrow till there's none. When I'm stuck with a day that's gray and lonely I just stick out my chin and grin and say the sun 'll come out tomorrow so you gotta hang on till tomorrow. Come what may. Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love ya tomorrow you're always a day away." ( Annie)

We are forgiven by His blood.

"Tomorrow is always fresh with no mistakes in it." (Anne of Green Gables) Dedicated to my good friend Lucy.

Supporting our soldiers

I am reading a book about a girl in America during World War II. It got me thinking. Back then people did all they could to help and support our soldiers, even the kids helped; and I want to do something to help our soldiers nowdays. Our soldiers do their part by risking thier lives to save the US, and I want to support them in some way. I have been thinking of ways that I can help support them. So far I have thought that i could collect used soda cans and exchange them for money and use the money to help our soldiers, but I don't know where I would send the money or how it would get to our soldiers. If you have any ideas please leave a comment.

Grandma Bobbie

A few weeks ago my grandma died. I miss her very much. She was such a great gandma. We used to exange letters in the mail. We were looking through her drawers the other day and I found a few letters that I wrote to her when I was like 6 or 7. I thought it was very nice that she kept those all these years. She accepted Jesus in her heart a few months ago so she is with Jesus. I remember when she would tell us about when she was young. We loved her stories. When my sister and I were younger and when my grandma would come to visit we would wake up early, grab our favorite toy, and sit outside the bedroom door, waiting for her to wake up so we could show her our toys. When she moved here, she would always tell my sister and I when Hannah Montana was gonna be on th television so we could go to her house and watch it with her. She was a fun grandma. I love her so much.

This is her obituary.

3s

My favorite number is 3. It is my favorite because God's character is revealed in His nature and in His creation in groups of 3s. The following are some examples:

The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit,

father, mother, children

the white of the eye, the color, and the pupil

eggshell, egg white, egg yolk

water, steam, ice

dot,dot,dot :)

I first heard of the 3s in a Bible study I went through called The Truth Project. Now I love looking for 3s in nature. That's why I put that as my blog name. I love seeing God's design in His creation! It's awesome! And that is why 3 is my favorite number. Please comment if you have noticed any examples of 3s in God's creation.
Here is a random picture that I took once of a chicken we were babysitting
